This is a version of a song originally commissioned for an infinitely delayed, ambitious, obscure and probably unrealizable Kitsch Electronica compilation album project coordinated by a Canadian friend. 'Song' is the plain thing, 'Mix' is Unproduct inflicted upon the preceding, and in 'Version' finally the Bassoons are coming up for air again. Critical irritainment. NB. This series of "meditative oscillator pieces" was composed with a simple sound effects generator called FX-15 in 1999. The series was originally titled, "Insects In Plastic Dwellings". It was inspired by the architecture & design of 'Futuro' houses.
These tracks were assembled from recordings and edits made between 1990 and 2005, sculled from tapes and CDR's. Every attempt was made to preserve the accidental quality of the originals. 1. Two attacks at source material largely produced in the late 90s: radio preacher stations competing with more mundane shortwave communications, and some locked tracks from Tchaikovsky. Lola Valérie again invests into the methodics of immediacy and spontaneity - everything in these two pieces was designed visually and by instinct, the only audition of these tracks came in the mastering phase.
